| ![]() Thanks for the chicken water idea, I will try that too. Yes they are so driven by scent, so I wonder why the food manufacturers do not add more scent to the boring kibble? They do it for human food all the time. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Some do, and it's one of the things that makers of Yorkshire Terrier food do, because Yorkies are known for being finicky eaters. With most dogs, it's not necessary.

| ![]() Thank you. I feed Canine Caviar and it has not been treated as it is odorless. Most food do have an odor even I can detect, but this one....no. It is not specifically for Yorkies though. The manufacturers suggest adding water, but that was no help. The good thing is, once 'seasoned' he eats it all up fast. :-)) I thought I was a picky eater, but Yorkies win on that score hands down! It is good we can come on YT and get others' experiences and advice. |

Dogs eat first with their noses...so always think of altering the smell to entice.

| ![]() Thank you. It was also suggested to make it myself and freeze. Easier to buy though as long as the salt content is very low. A friend gave me some evil smelling Bonito Flakes to sprinkle on the food, any one heard of or used this? Thank you. Last edited by dottiesyrky; 05-04-2013 at 06:53 AM. |
