| Jack took Trifexis last year and did fine with it and I am sure that is what he will be put on again as will Izzy. Izzy did get Interceptor last year because of her size, but I think the vet had an extremely limited supply and we were lucky to get enough to get her through the end of the year. I only give to my pups April through November/December here since it gets cold and kills of the mosquitoes in the wintertime. Please let me know why you don't like Trifexis. Thanks.

| Yes, it is the spinosad. Comfortis is newer and the safety profile is not good, imo. Would not give spinosad to my puppies unless after a long time it is proven to be safe, esp. for their livers.

| Has anyone heard of a site called: Allivet.com I haven't gone through the entire process but as far as I can tell, they have Interceptor available. I know there's a lot of counterfeit pills going around but it seems like Allivet is a legit site as far as I can tell... I've sent them a msg asking how is it that they have this in stock when the rest of the country doesn't so we'll see what they reply with. With that said.. Zoey's 5.5 lbs... but I've been giving her only half the dose for the Heartgard. Anyone have any issues with giving the full dose to their furbies in similar size? Just seems "off" that I'm giving same dose to both my 16 lbs and 5.5 lbs... |

| There is not hwp that is safe to break in half as the medicine isn't evenly distributed throughout the whole pill. It is also safer to overdose (within reason) on hwp then to under dose because your Dog or cat wouldn't be fully protected.

| Magnus on the Allivet website if you go further and try to place a order for Interceptor it tells you manufacturer back order and they will email you when available. |

| I just went through the process for purchase and it didn't indicate it wasn't available. Did you click on the 12 month supply? That one shows it's backordered. If you click on the 6 months supply, the process goes through all the way. I stopped at the part where I had to input my cc info. |

| FYI, from the Novartis website: LATEST UPDATE AS OF February 18, 2013: Production of validation batches of key products has been underway for some time at the Lincoln facility. The process began with select Animal Health and OTC products and is continuing on a line-by-line and product-by-product basis throughout the re-start and re-validation process. We’re taking the necessary time to validate the new processes for these lines to ensure control and adherence to a high standard of quality. While we continue to make progress, the re-start is taking longer than originally anticipated. Currently, the exact dates for parasiticide product availability remain unknown, but will be communicated as soon as they are available.
