| Update on Peanut's bump Well some of you know Peanut had a little bump on his tummy- above his wee and right below his ribs. I was planning on doing surgery- However the bump went away. I took him in last weekend for a recheck- The Vet told me it could have been an inflammatory mass- or it still could be a hernia. He said if it was the mass his body took care of it. He was pushing and poking on his belly and couldn't feel anything to make him know it was a hernia. So basically we just have to watch him- if it comes back I need to take him in. He got his vaccines and I scheduled his dental! Other than that he is a healthy boy!

| Thank you- I still feel we are in the dark to what the bump was... or is- I guess we should just be thankful it wasn't a tumor-

| Here was his bump- it is 100% gone. You can't feel anything when you try to push around on that area.

| Zeus has a hernia...bottom right of his penis. It went away but now it's always showing so we're going to do surgery. I hope that it was just a false alarm for Mr. Pnut!!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Did it feel like a pea, sort of? Or was it more mushy? If it felt like a pea, it could've been a follicular cyst, or a sebaceous cyst...both of which sometimes resolve on their own. Did the vet aspirate it...sometimes that can help ID it too.

| Hmmm it was like in the middle of hard and soft, wasn't really hard, but it wasn't soft. When I poked at it and tried to move it around, it didn't move- it stayed in the same place. It was really strange, kind of just came out of nowhere- When the bump was there, the Vet wanted to do surgery- he basically told me if it’s a tumor I will remove it and biopsy it and if it’s a hernia I will repair it. I was saving up for the surgery and then it just disappeared. When I took him in for his re-check the Vet was feeling around and pressing down, he said that he couldn't feel anything that would lead him to believe it was a hernia- he said everything “feels” normal in his belly/ abdomen area. So it is a mystery- I just hope it doesn't come back!
