| "drunken" type behavior This has only happend twice in a year and a half, and is happening right now and i remember how scared i was the first time it happend. I've been home with Emma all day and we took a nap, not long after she started acting funny, walking disoriented, shes constantly smelling the ground and falling down on her butt, and when she stands still she wobbles side to side some. When she falls on her butt and does circles its making me wonder if shes constapated? I read some of this happening to other yorkies but never could get an answer, thanks! |

| I don't have experience with this, but what immediately comes to mind is a possible neuro problem... I would really recommend taking her to the vet.

| I would get her into the vet ASAP. Not normal behavior at all.

YT Addict | Go to You Tube and type in "liver shunt in a yorkie named Ginger". I don't want to scare you but your yorkie is showing some of the same symptoms as Ginger. Not as severe which is good. Make sure your vet tests for liver shunt go rule it out. Good Luck!

| Sounds neurological. You need to see a vet asap and do a full blood panel checking liver levels especially as well bring in a recent fecal sample if you have one.

YT Addict | I'm glad you got Emma in so quickly and they're testing her. Hopefully it was just low blood sugar. If it ends up being liver shunt there is a holistic vet, Dr. Becker from my area who has made a You Tube video (I'm pushing You Tube today LOL!) about liver shunt. She talks about the surgery and alternatives to surgery.
