| Ellen Degeneres Buys Into Halo Pet Products Recently Ellen Degeneres has stepped into the natural pet product market by becoming an owner / partner with Halo Natural Pet products. Halo is very well known for its broad line of quality holistic pet products including foods like the very well known Spot’s Stew pet food line. Ellen has long been a proponent of healthy natural causes and this venture with Halo would appear to be an excellent fit and allows her to continue her cause in conjunction with a well positioned winning product line. Ellen reportedly initially became involved with Halo Spot’s Stew pet food when she originally purchased it for her pet and was extremely impressed with how much the new diet had improved her pet’s vitality. The rest is history. Halo Pet Products plus Ellens’ celebrity status equals excellent promotional opportunities for not only Halo Spot’s Stew pet food but for all the holistic Halo pet products. I think I will try switching Izzy and Jack over to this - they have been on Royal Canin but Izzy has been itching something fierce (no fleas or other reasons for it).

We did a few samples of Go!/Now!... he was really picky about it, and wouldn't eat it. So were going back to Fromm since he likes it so much. He's been eating it since Sept/Oct-ish, and the eye boogers did not happen until I started feeding him the Four Star grain inclusives. We just bought a bag of Fromm Gold Adult, so far so good!! So we'll probably just feed the Gold line now, and I have a bag of grain-free beef to use for treats and treat dispensing toys etc.

Ingredients are important, but what an owner perceives as the perfect ingredient food should not be placed at the top of the list. First, don't feed if dog doesn't do well. Second, company rep/qc/guaranteed analysis/who formulates food, etc. Some smaller companies spend very little on qc.,And some have a single, untrained fet creating recipes. I know nothing about Halo, but the rhetoric they have posted online would do nothing for my confidence in them. If they can't say where their foods are made, etc. then I can't bother to give the food a try. Is your pup not doing well on RC? It is a good food. In all honesty I'd be tempted to ask the employee her credentials. If she doesn't have some letters behind her name certifying that she understands animal nutrient, I'd ignore.

What would you consider an acceptable answer when you asked a food co. their credentials and who formulas their food. This was an answer from one company, that I was satisfied with, plus they answer a lot of things on their website. Quote:

Our biggest problem is that she won't eat the RC since she had her surgery. She is a string bean and lean so we need to make sure she eats. She had been on RC since she was a puppy but I have tried everything and she won't eat it. Just don't know what is best. Thanks for the information.
