This is one of the choices that the Vet suggested me to switch my Yorkie to. He's on Natural Balance, but she doesn't like the natural and holistic brands that area out now. I hate to switch him again. I've switched him too much. Does your dog eat when you put the bowl down~? Do they make treats or bones in the Royal Canine brand. | |

| He's not really doing well on it or maybe it was the string they found in his stool last night from the toy (which I threw out). They told me his bowels are irritated. I only noticed the discolorations and size of stool which worried me a bit. I have to mix W/D now with his food to get his fiber and stool back to what it was. |

| Both our dogs that you quoted are bigger yorkies so it may not be so rich for them because of that not sure. Mine has not had any problems on it.

One time, I bought a bag of Pacifica to give them as a treat & Princess had bloody poopie, she only had 2 pieces! I thought it was so strange bc it's the same brand, just different protein...she did eat another piece a couple of days later accidentally, I dropped one & she was fine. I guess it takes her awhile to get used to it. She also had bloody poopie one time from raw baby carrots, I only give her cooked veggies now.I've also eliminated store bought treats from their diet. Their poopie was too inconsistent. We only use boiled chicken breast as a training reward.

| My mini schnauzer has a super hard time with 'rich' or fatty meats, she cannot eat red meats other than very rarely.

| Mine and Brits are 16 pounds. But because of your other issues I think it might be your dog not the food.
