| switching from Royal Canin Yorkishire to Eukanuba Yorkshire so Jah'Lija has been on Royal Canin for a couple months now, the only food he ate with no hesitation but to me his not doing so well on it other than him eating it fine. he seems to be itchy ALOT, he just came from the vet a few days ago so its not a skin problem or fleas/tics. so i figured it was the food??? so today his bag of RC had one bowl left so i headed to buy another 2.5lbs bag for about $16 but instead i picked up a bag of Wellness Super5Mix Small Breed 4lbs i believe for about the same price (which i heard alot of good things about) then i waaaaas walking to the cashier when my eyes came across EY 4lbs also around the same price, thought hey it specially made for yorkies lets give it a try! STUPID ME didn't look at the ingredients till i got home (shakes head) and saw a few flaws that's making me a bit iffy now about feeding it to my furbaby. i already open the bag to see if he would eat it but he didn't since he stuff his face with his last bowl of RC. (thinking of waiting and trying again tomorrow for breakfast when his hungry.) soooooo what do you think, should i make the switch? or should i take those red flags in the ingredients and try Wellness? i really hate to be switching his food so much since his a picky eater but i just want something to fit him and help with the itching besides adding other supplements to his food. make both him and me happy campers because the itching drives me NUTS at nights, shakes the whole bed! and his lil pet tag dingles ugh! lol PS: here is the store i shop at so you guys know what brands they carry. http://www.petsupermarket.com

| i know, my neighbor just told me about it. ugh this is so frustrating! what do you think about Natural Balance Potato & Duck Small Bite Dog Food and Nutro MAX Adult Mini Chunk Dog Food?? the dog food analysis is kind of out dated on products, only reason i don't really depend on it. your advice would me much appreciated! im a new yorkie mommy so this is new to me, i usually had pits and larger breeds but small dogs tummys are so much more sensitive.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | You can bring the food back to the place you bought it from. They will return it. Also if you happen to by it from Petsmart they will take food and treats back if your pet doesn't like it. |

| I would not feed Eukanuba its not a good food. If it is an allergy causing his itching I would try a grain free food because a lot of dogs can have allergies to grains.

| Stay away from Nutro Max too. It's not one of their better quality foods. The store I buy from recommends Horizon and Fromm foods. We are feeding Horizon Legacy and are very happy with it. If you are going to continue buying from the store you currently use, I would try to find a grain free food, since you dog has itchies, to see if that helps. Personally, I would stay away from anything made by Diamond or anything that Diamond manufactures for other companies. Good luck on your search for a better food.

| I have Peanut on Canine Caviar “Open Sky” it is a grain free diet. The protein is duck. Peanut has major environmental allergies, he has just now stopped itching. I would highly recommended any Canine Caviar brand of food. At first I had him on the “WildOcean” I took him off because I read an article that said it is best for allergy type dogs to be fed “Venison/Duck” proteins, so I wanted to try to see if it made a difference. Another thing is Peanut LOVES this food- he use to be more of a cat type eater- He would just graze, it would take him a day ½ to eat ¼ of a cup!! With Canine Caviar he licks his bowl clean!! He will eat 1/8 of a cup in the morning and 1/8 in the evening… he really enjoys the food and it is really doing well with him. Clear eyes, no itchiness, shiny coat!! http://mycaninecaviar.com/product/open-sky-als/
