| Need answer As many of you have read my past posts my little 12 year old guy has a history of pancreatitis. I know that "stretching" is one of the signs of an attack. Tonight he stretched and scooted his tummy across the carpet, which he sometimes does after being groomed, but he was not groomed tonight. How do I know the difference between stretching because he just woke up and it is just a normal "stretch". And a stretch where he is trying to relieve abdominal pain due to attack of pancreatitis? He has not had any other symptoms. Thanks! |

| Normally if a dog is stretching often, any time other then upon getting up from sleep or laying for a period of time it's from discomfort somewhere. It's not always tummy related, it can also be from hips or spine. |

| I am not sure about the stretching. I have never herd of that. But I would think if it was pancreatitis there would be other symptoms. Hopefully someone with more experience with this will be able to help you.
