| Yorkie lost a tooth My little fur baby was acting very tired and cranky today, when I went to make the bed I noticed a tooth on the blanket! She is 6 years old, a rescue, but had her teeth cleaned less than a year ago. I plan on calling her vet when they open tomorrow but just so I can sleep or not tonight, should I be worried?? |

| If the tooth broke it can hurt just like our teeth, poor baby. The only thing I would watch for is a temp. Drinking may be difficult if your babys water is cold or cool. Getting to the vet first thing in the morning is a good idea. Maybe someone else will come along with some other suggestions. |

| Was it half a tooth or the whole thing? Normally adult teeth don't just fall out unless there is a problem like an infection that pushes it out. I definitely would get the vet to take a look.

| Yikes a broken tooth that has gotta hurt I would have the vet look at it and she may have to have the rest of the tooth pulled.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Any update? One of Thor's teeth fell out last year, and it turned out to be gum disease. I took him to an emergency vet who took xrays and pulled three teeth. He'd just been to my normal vet a few months earlier, who assured me he didn't need a dental. I was PISSED.
