I am so very happy for you and Toki. I just replied to your PM. I had to chuckle at her pictures. We should start a FHO picture thread of our babies with one leg shaved !!! You know you've been through this when you see the picture and it makes you giggle

Sending our thoughts and prayers for a quick and safe surgery. It's never easy when our babies have to go thru any type of procedure. Just try and keep busy--easy said that done, I totally understand. Hugs.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes!

Toki is in good spirits today! She's putting weight on her leg but still prefers to hold it up while she hobbles...hopefully she will start using it more as she heals.

Sandy: Her leg does look goofy! The neighbor kids are kinda like "what the heck is going on" when they see us on a potty break with her cone lol it may sound weird but I was so thrilled to see her squatting and using her operated leg just fine. Unfortunately her left leg started to undergo atrophy and is noticeably smaller than her right one so I hope we are able to rebuild that muscle mass over time now that we have had the surgery.

Boy, can we relate to the goofy syndrome !! I just shaved Bobby's other leg yesterday after a bath so at least the whole back end is funny looking. And of course when I tried to blend it all, I ended up taking off more than I planned. Now he looks like a Lion ! Well, a one-eyed, one-eared, one leg swinging in a circle when he walks Lion. Not too furrrrocious but brings a smile.

So happy to hear she did so well! I always feel so bad for them in those silly cones, but it's great that she's walking on it. Toughest job now will be getting her to not overdue too soon.

Toki, I am so happy to read that your surgery went well, that you have a greater doctor, and that you are recovering so nicely. Best of all, you have a great mom to care for you.

Avant-garde! LOL! I'm not sure whether to just let everything grow out or shorten her hair all around and try to make things more even...I think she's pretty cute anyway

She is getting around a little better now...the past couple days, Toki's walking has kind of reminded me of someone rowing a bow with one oar. She had a funny little swing going on (still kind of does) and walked in big circles because she wasn't using her back left leg as much. Today she seems to have better control of her leg like she's figuring things out and uses it when we walk more slowly...also being on the grass helps too. I can't wait for her sutures to come out next week so that we can start moving around even more
