| Newbie question Bentley is adjusting well to our new home. I adore him! He's so cute when I come home, he whines until I pick him up and he needs lots of attention which we are all willing to give! He is 18 weeks old now. When we got him he had all of his initial puppy shots. I'm wondering when he should see the vet and what's next on his docket for health? The breeder I got him from suggested I wait 6 months until I neuter him. Is that too long to have him wait for an exam? Thanks!

| Even when getting a pup from an amazing breeder you should always get them a vet check by your vet asap. Congrats on your pup!

| Your puppy will need two more rounds of puppy shots and Rabies shot at 16 weeks. Also, please don't let your puppy touch the ground for potty until the puppy is fully vaccinated because they are susceptible to catching diseases like Parvo. Until the puppy is fully vaccinated, I recommend having the puppy go potty indoors on pee pee pad or potty system like Ugodog. Also, I noticed a sticky on the health section of YT that has bunch of articles on vaccination schedule that you can refer to also. Good luck with your puppy! |
