| Canned food... This may seem like a silly question but do dogs need canned food mixed in with their hard food? I have mostly fed the boys just hard food but when Max had his teeth cleaned he had 2 extractions so I started mixing canned food in their hard food. The boys go crazy over it. I am feeding Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish so I mixed in some of the canned in the same flavor.

| Of course they don't need it. I like to use it just to give him a little variety, and extra moisture. I think it's good for them to have any kind of added meat or moisture etc. I also mix in other things such as chicken, or whatever leftovers we have that are healthy. I think the variety is good for them. But lately he's been loving his dry food for the first time ever (for this long anyways)... the moment I pour it into the bowl he goes and eats it! So he's been getting less wet food since it's pricey, and I figure if he's eating okay, he doesn't need it.

| I am like Brit I give it to Georgie for variety and a little added moisture. I also add chicken, carrots, apples and peas once a day or as a treat.

| My two get it occasionally as a treat, but they already go wild for their kibble... So it's definitely not necessary.

| They don't need it but lots of dogs seem to like it and if you have a picky eater it can help to get them eating.

| I also like to mix in can for a little extra moisture and to encourage Toki to eat in the mornings! It's a nice way to introduce different flavors and textures since we don't switch up the kibble as often (although Toki's not very picky and inhales everything so it's mostly for my satisfaction lol) |
