Of course they don't need it. I like to use it just to give him a little variety, and extra moisture. I think it's good for them to have any kind of added meat or moisture etc. I also mix in other things such as chicken, or whatever leftovers we have that are healthy. I think the variety is good for them. But lately he's been loving his dry food for the first time ever (for this long anyways)... the moment I pour it into the bowl he goes and eats it! So he's been getting less wet food since it's pricey, and I figure if he's eating okay, he doesn't need it.
