I didn't know they was scottland that is something new. I don't remember the book ever saying anything about scottland just england and the usa

They usually stop growing by a year old, they tend to fill out a bit more after that...my boy Orion is now 11.2lbs at 14mths old as per his vet visit today. I'm really hoping he's done now..lol!

oh I see. I don't want her to get to big and be over weight. I don't mind a little bit more grown or filling out.

There was another thread here not long ago. Many here stated their yorkies had reached maturity in height and length just as Laddy did by 1 year old, but many do continue to put on weight and fill out.

oh really I didn't know that. the main thing is we just don't want her to be over weight. we just want her health as she can be

My teapot, Charlie, is just over 12lbs. He is very long, and the 'perfect' shape/ weight for his body size. Since he is an energetic fellow, we still do training/ exersize and reward with (healthy) treats every day.

Your dog is not overweight. She is still young. She could still gain some more weight. My Gracie was a slow grower and she was only a little over 4lbs when she was a year old but she was really very skinny. She continued to fill out for at least three more months after her first birthday and finally got up to 5lbs.

A dog the age of yours is not overweight. She is still developing muscle as well as filling out a little. A normal active dog, especially terriers, don't get overweight very often and certainly not during the first couple of years. I'm not sure if you are concerned about how big she gets or how fat she gets. There is no way to control her size. She is going to grow as large as her genes tell her to. As far as fat goes......if she is fed a proper diet and has the right amount of exercise you will have a happy healthy dog with the correct weight for her frame.

will she will be a year tomorrow. and she has been going fast. every time we went to see the vet she has gain a lot of weight. one time she was like 5 something then 6 in month or 2 something like that then it was 6.0 Ithink the weight was and in june she is 7.5 almost 8pd

She might could fill out to be around 9 or 10 pounds

all I know from the lady that we got her from she could get to be 8pd something like that. I don't know if I want her to be 9 or 10 then she would look over weight. she does look around from the back end side.

No one can say for sure what a puppy is going to weigh when they are full grown. I think you would be surprised how much a dog can fill out with out being fat. Muscle weighs more then fat so when she builds muscle it might add weight with out making her overweight. You say you do not want her to be 9 or 10 pounds but that might be what she is supposed to be. Would you love her any less for weighing 10 pounds?
