when will she be fully grown. I was meaning for mine that would be over weight. and too I didn't know that they go up that high in weight either

I would say by a year they should be full grown. Yorkies used to be bigger then what they are now.

will she will be 1 this tuesday the 21st. oh really they use to be bigger I didn't know that. how big did they use to be. I never keep up with all the dogs breeds since they are way to many of them. not the kinds I even use to have either. so I just might have to look more into yorkie terrier history. I just read what it said in this one book I have. but then again it might not have everything about them. all I do know is they came from England I think thats what the book said

If she is a year old on the 21st, then she is fully grown I would think. She may fill out a little more, but thats it.
I believe they did originate in England, and where of a larger variety...Thats why there are still some bigger ones today. Throw back so to speak. Just more to love, and not as fragile as the smaller ones.

Laddy put on almost a pound after a year old, I think they may have bone structure by a year but they do tend to fill out more and gain a little after that. He was 3.8 at 1 and is 4.8 at almost 4.

oh I see. the last time she was weighted she was 7.5 I don't mind if she was 8 something I don't think that would be to big for her.

yeah, at 1 year old she wont get much bigger.
she may get up to 8 pounds.
my oscar is almost 1 year old @ 7 1/2 pounds and he stopped growing at about 7 months..

Its kinda just a joke/nick name because people use the word teacup for the tiny dogs so someone called the bigger ones teapots and it stuck. Neither is actually a type of yorkie a yorkie is just a yorkie.

The Yorkshire Terrier breed was 'developed' in Yorkshire, England, in its current 'configuration' but some of the early 'Yorkie' dogs from which the breed originated, were brought to England from Scotland...known as "Scotch Terriers"...if memory serves...:p

It's a very interesting history...worth reading every now and again. :D
