Ice Cube Tray Treats

I picked up some small ice cube trays at the dollar store and want to make the kids some cold treats. I know you have to be careful they don't break their teeth on ice.

I am trying to figure out some refreshing healthy things to put in the ice cube trays for my gang. Any ideas???

Instead of ice make chicken jigglers. Use plain chicken broth and add unflavored gelatin. If you put them in the freezer I don't think they would freeze as hard as ice.

Do you know.how much of each? Low sodium broth would be good I think.

This is an EXCELLENT recipe! You're right about them not freezing too hard. My Mom used to make homemade popcicles for me as a child with Jello and Kool-Aid. They were SO much better than store bought and never got so hard as to break my teeth. Our furkids would probably whine by the freezer to get these treats once they try 'em!

I made the recipe that was posted earlier for "pupsicles", and used an ice cube tray. Basically its yogurt, blended fruit, 1 tbs peanut butter (I left this out as my girl has a problem with fats), and 1 tbs honey - blend together...the yogurt doesn't freeze as hard as water, and to be extra certain, I just let them soften a little before handing them over. They were a big success in my house!
