Nervous for Luma's SPAY!

LUMA IS HOME!!!!!

They said she is very well trained and she behaved great, calm, did well with the anesthesia. Her adult canines aren't ready to be pulled so I'm kinda bummed she'll have to go under again some time in the next few months for that. They gave us pain meds and anti inflammatory meds for her.

When the vet tech carried her into the room from the back, she was asleep. She put her on the exam table so we could talk, and Luma opened her eyes and saw me, and her tail started wagging, and she immediately licked me and I honestly will carry that memory with me my whole life, it was so sweet. I'm overwhelmingly happy to have her back!

Oh, and her buddy belt came in...I'm not gonna bother her with a photoshoot....just wanted to show you guys a quick cell pic! Size 2 Fairydust with crystals!!!! GORGEOUS! Thank you, Kristin! It fit awesome, it's on the third to last hole

Yes, yes, she is home! She's very sleepy, as expected, but she's not falling asleep. Just staring at me like "what the heck, mom? This is all your fault!" She'll stand up for a minute and lose her balance. Very wobbly. And her head must weigh 20lbs, poor thing. She's whining A LOT and I feel bad. But I'm glad to be holding her.

Also, I'd like to thank every one of you who posted here, reassuring me, thinking positive for us, and checking in for updates. It means so much to me! Thank you! I love you guys

So glad she pulled through and is home! Sounds like she's still got some anesthesia in her system... I would make sure to keep waking her up until she has all her senses about her (like every 15-20 minutes), her whining is more about the anesthesia than pain at this point.

Also, limit her first drink and food... just a little every 30 minutes or so until she adjusts.

Waking her up every now and then, but shes not happy about it lol. Still whining and sighing like a baby teenager. She went potty and felt good enough to go straight over to the drawer where her treats are, for pottying on the pad lol. Who's training who?

So happy for both of you. This will pass in a day or two and it will be like it never happened. Spaying and neutering is just something that has to be done.
