Feeding 2 kibbles at a time? Well Cisco has become a part of the family-he is so playful, smart and loving. I'm kinda wondering though- the breeder fed him eaukanuba (sp?) and thats what i have been feeding him...only he wont go to his dish (yes it's easy for him to reach etc) but when i place a kibble (or 2) in front of him he picks it up, runs off and chews it. I don't know if this is like a game to him, or if i'm starting a bad habit, but he won't eat it from the dish, only if i place a morsel or two in front of him.. Also he weighs 2 pounds, and only eats about 3 to 4 table spoons of the kibble a day, not sure if that is enough or not, but he won't eat any more than that. Any ideas? TIA

| Have you thought of feeding a little bit of moist also. My dogs get Lil Caesars in the morning. They still eat their kibbles too.

My dog does the same thing. The vet told us not to worry about though, because he is gaining weight. Right now he eats some kibble and some wet food, it depends on his mood I guess.

Apple did the same thing when I got her. We tried different kinds of bowls and everything. It got to where I had to hand feed her to get any thing down her. Spoiled I know! I figured it out tho. She doesn't like to eat on a tile floor. I have to put her bowl on the carpet and then she eats fine. And she perfers plastic bowls over the glass ones. Hope you figure your little one out. Everything will work out.

maybe that's it, Baxter's bowl is on the wood floor and he likes to grab the food and take it over to the carpet and eat it when he does eat.

Mine are so funny! Hefner is always the last hold out for the Good stuff and would practically starve himself I think...but I see him eat the kibble too during the day. I do free feed and they eat Royal Canin or Nutra Max as I leave both out. Some days that is all they get but most day they get a Natural Balance roll cut up for training or the get scrambled eggs for breakfast or cheese sprinkled on the kibble. I sometimes supplement with cottage sheese as well.
