| Knox really likes the Fromm! I think Knox may have taken ill from his last batch of TOTW. I spent $184 at the vet last week and thought I was going to lose him to diarrhea and vomitting. Today I found out about the TOTW recall. I have sworn by it (Taste of the Wild High Prarie made by Diamond) since he was 12 weeks old. He has always been the picture of health - high energy, beautiful coat. Switching presents a major concern. Knox is a finicky eater. He went two days without eating a bite when I tried to switch him to Orijen. TOTW Bison is one of the few foods he will actually eat. But, after seeing the recall this afternoon and after going through hell last week, from vomit in the bed to diarrhea all over the house, I decided to switch him, and, this evening, I drove to a gourmet dog food store about a half hour from my home, looking for an alternative to TOTW. I settled on Fromm chicken a la veg. To my complete surprise, he gobbled it up excitedly. He has never had that reaction to non-human food. Fingers crossed he continues to enjoy it. I actually think he ate one small portion of Orijen and wouldn't ever touch it again, if I remember correctly. Not out of the woods yet, still concerned about his subtle palate. I hate to switch Knox cold turkey, but, like I said, I don't trust my bag of TOTW, and it's all I have. It falls within the affected use by dates, but the production code is baffling. It only has seven total digits, so I have no idea if it's tainted. Better safe than sorry. I will let you know how Knox takes to the Fromm in the days to come. It's only about two dollars per bag higher than TOTW, which I have been buying at Tractor Supply Co. I paid $15 for a 5 lbs bag of Fromm here in Chattanooga at a place called Hot Dawg. |

| No. I didn't call the company. I don't see how I could possibly say with certainty that's what caused it. He may have found a year old bully under the couch or something. One never knows. |

| I'm glad he likes the Chicken a la Veg. I give mine that plus I just reordered and order a bag of Pork and Applesauce as well. We'll see what she thinks of that one! Let us know how your little guy does in the days to come eating it as well.

| I will. I really haven't tried a lot of different foods. The vet suggested Science Diet. It made him constipated. She wanted to put him on laxatives. I switched his food against her wishes to TOTW, and he's never had another issue. I alternated TOTW with Blue Buffalo for a while, but he got to where he wouldn't eat the Blue. He would eat all of the TOTW and leave the Blue and look at me with a big sad face. haha The Fromm smells really good. The TOTW smells like poo. lol He really took to the Fromm today. Fingers crossed. A lot of the five and six star foods are getting easier to find. There are actually a lot of good foods to choose from now. |

| Orijen didn't work for one of our pups, but they did great on Acana. It's from the same company and they're very transparent with where they source their products. I would recommend giving that a try. Fromm is great as well.

| We are in the process of switching over to Fromm too. They should be completely switched over after today. A couple of my dogs dig through the TOTW to get the Fromm! I got the whitefish & potato, but plan to rotate with the other Fromm varieties, and maybe a couple other brands the store I buy from sells. They highly recommend Fromm, Precise (we've tried it and didn't like it), Pulsar (by Horizon - we had samples but the dogs were not very enthusistic about it), and HiTek Naturals (we haven't tried it yet). I think the Fromm will be a great choice.

| He has taken to the Fromm without issue. Solid stool. High energy. He's back to being his stubborn little self. I will probably stick with the Fromm. |

| Glad he's doing better! Fromm should really appreciate us on this forum, since so many of us are switching. Maybe they should offer us a Yorkietalk forum discount or something. LOL

| I am glad Knox is feeling better . I give my little Kinder Fromm's Whitefish and Potatoe ; she loves it. We used to give her the chicken one but she is allergic to chicken. Also I buy the Cranberry Liver Fromms Treats which she loves. Hope all goes well for Knox. Susan |
