| The Vet. put Jilli Ann's spay on hold. Jilli Ann has never been a good eater and because of that, she's super thin at 3 pounds 3 ounces and will be 9 months the 13th. I did not really feel she was at a good weight for surgery and let the Vet. know how I felt, but was willing to trust her judgment. She agreed Jill Ann was too thin and suggested I leave her for some testing. They are going to check for liver shunt but forgot what else. I'll know in a couple of days if there is a problem. If there is not problem, I just ran out of options on how to get some weight on her. I do home cook which makes the other girls real piglets, but not Jilli Ann. I fix her med. rare steak, lean roasts cooked in the ele. pressure cooker with carrots and potatoes, I try turkey, sardines, and even salmon my husband caught in Alaska, and everything I can think of, but she just isn't that interested in anything. She hasn't eaten since dinner yesterday so I thought sure she would be starving when I brought her home, but no, she just wants to run around the house. I let her run outside too, but decided after all her running, it was time for her to eat and nap so I gated her in the kitchen. She went in her bed, but won't eat. Never had one like her before. I'm super worried.

| Aww..I'm hoping that everything is ok. Ahi is also the same when it comes to eating. It seems like some days she won't eat at all and I get so worried. Some days she wipes her bowl clean. Most days she will only pick at her food but does this through out the whole day. I also only cook her meals for her. I hope Jilli Ann's appetite gets better. *hugs

| Roxy was almost 2 when she got spayed. Too petite. She would eat like a pig but then run it off- Lean little athlete. I has to discourage her from running around to put weight on. She never even went into heat. I hope you find away to fatten her up and all tests come back negative

| Aww sweet little Jilli Ann, you need to eat for momma, baby girl. I pray that the tests all come back normal for Jilli Ann and that you can find the right combination of foods that she will love. I have the opposite problem with my two, they will eat till they pop if allowed. Prayers being sent up for Jilli Ann.

| She will eat really well breakfast, lunch and dinner one day then not eat anything the next day, even if it's the same food. She ate a little turkey and rice for dinner and this morning for breakfast, but not as much as she should be eating. She picked out the turkey and left the rice and veggies. Her back bone, ribs and tail bone stick out. The Vet. said she had 0 fat on her body, which isn't good if she needs to be put under for anything. I sure hope she doesn't come in heat before her spay. As skinny as she is, I would doubt she could even have a heat cycle. I worry so much over her. She's my last baby.

| Well the Vet. called with the test results. Liver count is above normal. I made an appointment with Dr. Ortega at the VSMG (in Ventura) since she specializes in the internal organs and takes care of Zada who has a collapsed trachea. She goes in for more tests on the 8th to see just what's going on with her liver. I'll keep this thread updated.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Keeping Jilli Ann in my prayers. My Cali was a terrible eater until she was spayed. She was diagnosed with a very mild MVD that required no treatment by a liver biopsy done at time of spay. She has had no problems and now eats like a little pig! Hopefully all test will come back normal.
