The Vet. put Jilli Ann's spay on hold. Jilli Ann has never been a good eater and because of that, she's super thin at 3 pounds 3 ounces and will be 9 months the 13th. I did not really feel she was at a good weight for surgery and let the Vet. know how I felt, but was willing to trust her judgment. She agreed Jill Ann was too thin and suggested I leave her for some testing. They are going to check for liver shunt but forgot what else. I'll know in a couple of days if there is a problem. If there is not problem, I just ran out of options on how to get some weight on her. I do home cook which makes the other girls real piglets, but not Jilli Ann. I fix her med. rare steak, lean roasts cooked in the ele. pressure cooker with carrots and potatoes, I try turkey, sardines, and even salmon my husband caught in Alaska, and everything I can think of, but she just isn't that interested in anything. She hasn't eaten since dinner yesterday so I thought sure she would be starving when I brought her home, but no, she just wants to run around the house. I let her run outside too, but decided after all her running, it was time for her to eat and nap so I gated her in the kitchen. She went in her bed, but won't eat. Never had one like her before. I'm super worried. |
