I checked her ears yesterday and today. There's nothing there. Her ear isn't even red. There is no odor. But the hair inside has grown back some. I don't see crud or anything brown. By the time I took her to the first and the second vet, she had already taken the medication and was done taking it. Both vets looked in her ears and said her ears looked healthy. Neither mentioned mange to me. The second vet looked at her skin because I complained about the scratching. Also when I took her back where I got her from (before both vet visits), the guy looked at her skin and said her skin looks healthy. She hasn't been around any other dogs. She's the only one here. If she had mange when I got her, I would think it should be worse by now, right? I got her at 8 weeks. She's 19 weeks now. On her second visit to the first vet, I told him about how her ears had odor and that she was given the medication for mites/yeast, etc... He looked in her ears and said they were fine. I remember being relieved when he said it. Could mites hide where they can't see them through the scope? Maybe I should see a third vet. This is sooooo confusing to me and frustrating. I'm so concerned for her health it even bothers me when someone plays rough with her. I'm positive there is a change around her eyes. My daughter even noticed. I guess my husband's blind. Well, I do have photos up. I wanted to have a big close up for you all to see. Since I wasn't sure if I could add 900x600pixels photos here, I created a photo gallery on one of my websites. MyaMyMorkie I posted only 8 photos but they are from Feb, Mar, and Apr. If anyone of you don't mind viewing them and tell me what you think I would truly truly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. | |

| I do see what you mean about the fur being a little thin above the eye. The skin looks healthy though. It could just be because she is growing. I don't see redness and that is what I would be concerned about. Is she still scratching at her ears? If there is hair inside the ear canal you should pluck it out with your fingers. They sell a powder that makes it a little easier to get a hold of the hairs. If she is not scratching at her ears I would not think she still has mites. |
