| My George just had a dental today and I opted for them to apply the Sanos Dental Sealant. I am hopeful it will work for him since he needs dentals every six months. Teeny mouth and awful teeth. It really only lasts six months so I guess he might get lucky and have his teeth be not so bad for a year? My vet said that they are getting good results with this sealant. It is a one time application during the dental.

| I dont think anything works like regular old daily brushing. And chewing i guess on a bone or something. I used oravet and i didnt see anything about it that i liked. We have 5 Veterinarians at our clinic, and one of the Drs loves it and recommends it to everyone. But the rest really dont. I just know that for my yorkie, who has now had 3 dentals in his 4 almost 5 years of life, nothing works as good as brushing. I use CET toothpaste too, and my yorkie loves the poultry flavor. His teeth were getting plaque quickly when i was using oravet. And if you dont apply it to 100 % dry teeth when under anesthesia its not worth it. It has to be applied to dry teeth, and then that way the weekly packets you reapply have something to stick to. With out them being 100% dry the first application will not stick, thus making it a pure waste of time. |

"It is recommended to wait 7 days after a Sanos application before giving pets chew toys. The use of pet dental cleaning chew products is not recommended when Sanos has been applied because they will shorten the lifespan and effectiveness of the Sanos product application. Do not brush animal's teeth for at least 60 days following a Sanos application. Brushing will shorten the lifespan and effectiveness of the Sanos application." I hope it works for you.

| Yes, it can come off. He is not a chewer....and he hates having his teeth brushed so he is a good candidate for a trial.

| I had two pups that had their teeth brushed every single day for as long as I had them and they still needed dentals every year to year and a half! They say it helps, but it does not prevent the need for dentals. Chewing has never helped either. Much of it is genetic, but the fact is they have tiny mouths and need good dental care. Even using this sealant is only postponing the inevitable, IF it works. I will let everyone know how it works with George.
