Paris: Always in my ♥ Donating YT Member | Paris panic attack or asthma? Paris is having some sort of attack when he gets lost or overly excited. It sounds like an asthma attack where he can't catch his breath. I hold him and comfort him untill it stops. Do dogs get ashtma? Or is this another stage of the collapsing trachea? www.paristheblindwonderdog.blogspot.com |

| I noticed when I clicked on the blog that you are giving medicine, didn't get a chance to read it all... what has the vet said? Originally I was thinking this was just a reverse sneeze which happens sometimes and is completely normal. But if the vet sees a problem, or there is an existing breathing issue, I'm not skilled enough to talk on that. That would be a diagnostic job for a vet.

Paris: Always in my ♥ Donating YT Member | He is on Hycodan double dose and a broncial dialator 2x's a day. The vet says there isn't more we can do for him. HE also has a heart murmur which rules out certain medications. The breathing attack is new so I have a call in to speak with him about that. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I would suggest getting his breathing on a video so you can post it here, but also show it to your vet. It's so hard for vets to diagnose/eval breathing stuff w/out seeing the episodes. I only say this bc I've tried to describe this one thing that Marcel does w/ his breathing, and it's so frustrating...it helped to get it on video though, and then I brought my laptop to the vet w/ me (or you could put it on a DVD or whatevs).

Paris: Always in my ♥ Donating YT Member | Paris didn't wake up to eat today. I had to go in and wake him up. He did eat all his food but that was so strange. Maybe the time change? He gets wheezy after playing with his squeaky sock, or exerting himself. But he hasn't had an attack in a couple of days now. He's still coughing but not an attack. |

| my mini yorkie, Franky, has these asthma like attacks when he gets to excited, I hold him and rub his throat gentle. my vet said this breed does that and not to worry unless it gets serious. it doesn't seem to effect him when it's over. i'm more shook up then he is. it only happens when i come home after 10 hours of work and he just goes nuts welcoming me home. like i was gone for a year or something. i don't know how to relate to him that i am coming back and he doesn't need to worry. He gets so excited jumping like a bball i worry he is going to break his legs. then the coughing or whatever it's called starts and i try to hold him and whisper to him to settle down. he knows that command and then in a minute it stops. but it scares me. |

| Buster has trouble catching his breath but I believe it to be reversed sneezing. I am wondering if it is that compounded by his other issues. I am so sorry sending prayers for Paris. Here is a great link http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...d-trachea.html

YT 500 Club Member | I notice he is 14 years old so is it heart related. Sometimes dogs have CT but when the heart enlarges it makes the CT worse because it presses on it. If he does have an enlarged heart he needs to be on heart medicine for it. |
