| Sometimes Gizmo scoots if he just got *ahem* clipped back there and near his "undercarriage" as I call it. Glad it was nothing serious! And no worries, all of us can admit running to the vet or something tiny. Just shows we care about our pups!

| Glad she's fine! I'll never forget being all freaked out over "tumor looking things" near Jackson's butt... only to discover his balls had descended!! LOL. Wow embarrasing. Thank goodness I did not go to the vet for that. How stupid would I have felt?

| Better safe than sorry!!! ![]() I get my baby's glands drained every month! Hers fill up fast & she becomes uncomfortable. Both my vet & groomer say that it's best to have done ever month or sooner if needed. Little dogs have problems with their glands & it becomes uncomfortable quick. Like a constipated feel almost, but not quite, obviously. Glad your baby is ok!

| Please don't feel silly at all. You are such a good mommy looking out for her the way you do! I wish they all had such protective mommies!

| My sweet girl had this issue this week too. I noticed one day that she just wasn't her normal self, had been biting her tail and scooting a lot. She didn't want to do anything but lay around and sleep. So I of course took her right in, and sure enough they were full. She is almost 5 months and every time we have gone for shots they have had to drain them. I think we will have to have them drained every 6-8 weeks from now on. Poor babe!

| I have a good groomer for Reesie, and she clears Reesie's anal glands whenever I take her in for grooming, about once a month. "sspaht" is right about them being a problem for small dogs. You can do it yourself once instructed as to how, but you'd better have her in a bath tub as it can get a little messy. |
