| The senior food is still not a bad idea. May be possible, but not either of these. I'm thinking along the same lines as Cathy. HA could (but may not) work for both. None of the actual liver diets seem to be formulated also for intestines. Also depends how her liver is doing, how much protein (and what type) the vet wants her on, etc.

| YT Addict | Could I pop in and ask if anyone who regularly feeds Natural Balance is suddenly having gas, scratching, eye gunk issues with their yorkie? Mine was doing fine with this food and suddenly seems to be building an intolerance to it now. I've had two weeks of gurgling tummy, tearing at her muzzle and neck with her back feet and other general itching like toe and rump chewing, plus really goopy eyes. She also flaps and scratches her ears a lot, but there's no sign of infection or parasites. I won't feed Science, as I've had trouble with their products before. We also gave up on Royal Canin awhile back, it gave her diarrhea.

| Tubby's gas issues seem to have subsided so far with the NB duck and potato. So far so good....I will continue to finish this food and then I may keep him on it for awhile as long as he is still feeling good. I may decide to switch to the Iams PP for seniors later though if it would be good for him. What a relief for me and him!!! I just hope it lasts!!!

I am sorry you are having these issues with your yorkie. My yorkie is on a prescription diet and I have never fed her NB. She used to be on Fromm surf and turf and she loved it. Her eye boogers were very minimal while she was eating that. It's a great food too!! I can't speak for the scratching and gas as she hasn't had any of those issues but I would definitely think about trying a new food and maybe visiting the vet/dermatologist to see if she has an allergy to something in the food. It sounds like your baby is miserable and if the tummy is gurgling and there is gas there is definitely a problem. Sorry I hope you can find a solution!Good luck!!!
