As some of you know, I am switching Riley's food..... I had him on Acana/Ranchlands and it had definitely put a little weight on him.... I get him out for his daily walks and he plays Fetch in the house a little....but other than that, he's not all That Active. He's been a pretty mellow puppy... Also, his poops started being a little Too Hard...and the last few times, I have put it down, he has turned his nose up at it.... I have had to sit in the living room and throw him the Acana Kibble to get him to eat it. I haven't had to do that since he was Teeny Tiny! LOL!!

So, I stopped and bought a bag of the Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream, on my way home. It has 25% Protein and 15% Fat. Riley went Nuts over it!! I don't think I have ever seen him eat kibble like that. I mixed it with the Acana.... He actually ate all the TOTW and left the Acana..... He eventually ate all the Acana.
Maybe just because it is something new....?!?! And maybe because I was acting all excited and made a big deal with the bag, that it was his New Food! LOL

This a.m. was the same.... He ate all of the kibble right away! It made me sooo Happy! LOL!!!! Funny how I get so excited when he eats all of his Food. And, his Poop, this morning was Awesome!!

I Really Hope the TOTW Works For Him!!

Does anybody have any reviews on the TOTW Pacific Stream and/or Sierra Mountain.... or do you use any of the other two.
What about the canned TOTW? Does anybody use that??

I will update in a few days as to how he is holding up on it! LOL!!

After doing a ton of research I switched all of my adults to TOTW High Prairie about a month ago and so far so good. I have a black and white rescue Shih Tzu who was constantly chewing on herself and turned her white fur redish brown but shes barely doing it anymore and the new fur thats growing in is staying white. My Yorkie's really love it too and they didn't have any stomach issues during the switch over so I'm happy with my choice.

For now I'm sticking to weaning puppies with Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier Puppy food but would love to hear from other breeder who've used TOTW for their puppies.

I love TOTW! I think it is an excellent food!! NO BI-PRODUCTS, Corn, ANIMAL FAT, etc.... You can't beat it for the money!

Zhoie eats TOTW Pacifica too. She loves anything fish flavor. I tried Acana but she wasn't to fond of it. I had a little concern over the higher protein in Acana anyway, so she decided for us

So we are sticking with TOTW for as long as she still goes nuts for it. We add about 1/2 teaspoon of chicken flavor Weruva can food and she does circles all the way to the sunroom where she eats. This a winner for us.

I can't say enough good things about TOTW pacific stream! My wheaten is so much healthier than ever before, Ziva is sooo shiny and has never been sick, and the new puppy is better in just 2 weeks(she was on Natural Balance?) I didn't even bother to buy a bag of NB-she switched over without any issues and her poop firmed up decently- thank goodness!
I save money because they eat less, I buy it online for very reasonable prices, the TOTW customer service is GREAT , and after 1 year they are still happy to eat it (maybe not quite So excited but...)

forgot to add: we are kind of stuck with the Pacific stream because of the big dogs allergies, the other two flavors have ingredients that are not so easy protein-wise. The sierra mountain and pacific stream are the best choices for allergy prone.
The canned food was kind of expensive and a bit "fishy" for me, but if I had to feed canned, I would- it looked "clean" and dogs liked it. I froze some in little containers and served on kibble for special dinners.

I couldn't believe it! - It was about $8 Less than the bag of Acana.
I bought a 5lb bag and a bag of PureBites treats for the same price I paid for the 1-bag of Acana... BONUS!!

I have fed TOTW for several years (but you already know that ). I generally rotate between the different varieties so help head-off boredom)

I don't use the canned because I free feed all of my guys and their weight is good - well a little on the piglet side .

After talking with TOTW's nutritional advisor, I started Lollie on TOTW as soon as she came home. She is my pride and joy - out of a champion bitch and grand champion sire. She will be a year old and she is bubbling with good health and a coat to die for. I'll try to get some good pics of her in a few days.

I have had all 4 of my yorkies on this food a while now and i have not experienced any problems with it and my dogs love it. I checked dog food review sites before i purchased it and for the money its just as good or better than all the top brandname ridiculously expensive foods. The best price i have seen is Pet Meds for Less - Discount Pet Supplies at PetCareRx.com Pharmacy! $41.99 free shipping for a 30lb. bag which is cheaper than i can buy it locally($48.99) i received my 1st bag last week no issues and they also sent me a $5.00 coupon of my next order over $35.00 also all orders over $35.00 ship free so my next bag will be $36.99.
