| Nervous or scared pooing I think Sammy (my moms rescue yorkie) goes poo when he gets nervous or scared. Has anyone heard or had a dog with this problem? When we take him to petsmart he goes almost right when we get inside and it is normally a little softer then his normal poo and it smells terrible. Well we went to the vet two weeks ago and the same thing happened. So I was hoping someone could give me some advise about this and if there is anything I can do to help it. He never does it when he comes down to my house he is always so excited and he has never had accidents pee or poo in my moms house or mine sense she got him about a year ago. He also didnt do this when we went to two different pet expos but he was in the stroller with Callie. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, help or advise anyone can give.

| Mine are petrified of the vacuum, so if they're not being held, cuddled, or in their crates while we're vacuuming they would poop on the floor. I'm not sure what the remedy would be other than a lot of exposure. Mine are better now, still occasional scared poops, but when we go to my parents house they poop when they hear the vacuum. Perhaps the more exposure (maybe even with positive reinforcement such as treats and constant pets so he feels reassured) the problem will being to lessen. Good luck! |
