Mine are petrified of the vacuum, so if they're not being held, cuddled, or in their crates while we're vacuuming they would poop on the floor. I'm not sure what the remedy would be other than a lot of exposure. Mine are better now, still occasional scared poops, but when we go to my parents house they poop when they hear the vacuum.

Perhaps the more exposure (maybe even with positive reinforcement such as treats and constant pets so he feels reassured) the problem will being to lessen.
