| I am so glad you came into this Yorkie's life. I would advise a vet visit. I wonder if they tried to dock the tail and botched it? I would take it to a vet because you do not know what else they neglected in regards to this poor baby. Thank you for being a protecting angel.

| Glad that ya'll found each other. Does this baby have a name? He needs to be seen for the tail thing and to make sure he doesn't have worms. Im looking forward to seeing this baby grow into the beautiful boy that he really is. I pray that he will grow strong and fit in with your family. |

| Thanks to all for the Quick reply's and sorry for only getting back to you now. I have Gave Alfie his shots ,worm /ticks /flea's/mites all done Mircochipped him, washed his wound daily and is nearly healed, Which was a botched docking ![]() I cant afford at the minute to bring Alfie to the vet tbh i have bought a good multi vitamin and always feed my dogs top quality dry food with meat and veg treats. So i will give him a month and if he does not put on weight i will bring him then. I am thinking of giving Alfie 1 meal a day of raw ground steak meat with eggs to build him up. Whats your views of feeding raw meat ? i read it can be good but never feed it to my dogs. he also had dry ears on the back on them and the hair is growing back now |

Would the RSPCA or the PDSA be able to help vet-wise? It is an unusual/unexpected circumstance! Or maybe easy monthly terms at your normal vet? As for food, a couple of times a week we feed Harry raw - he loves it (but then he loves pretty much everything!). I'd just do all I could to get as much goodness as possible into him and get him built up - which is what your're doing anyway! Sally + Harry x | |

| I think a raw food diet can be good if done properly. There has to be other ingredients besides just the meat. You can get a lot of good info online about raw diets. My little one eats Stella & Chewy's freeze dried raw food mixed with a kibble. If it was up to her all she would eat is the S&C's. She has done very well on it so far. I believe supplements are very helpful for dogs that seem to be lacking in certain areas of their health like skin and coat or weight. |
