My question to you is what could i give him to boost his recovery(although he perked up when he seen my 2 Dams) and put on weight soon rather than later. Thanks in advance ! |
I would take this boy to the vet as soon as possible. Thank you for caring for him. |
Oh thank goodness you rescued that poor baby. Poor little thing. I would take him in for a complete check-up, bloodwork and everything. Then Missing Link might be good to build his little body up. Ask the vet and then put him on a really good quality food. I hope and pray this baby has a good, forever home with you. Whoever did this to that baby should be punished. |
Brovo... try tripe and soft food to start. Joy |
I ditto the taking him to the vet. I've had a few malnurished Yorkies come my way. I started them with Chicken Breast, Rice and Carrots. They are very healthy now. I just boil the chicken and then add the carrots and stir in the cooked rice. I still use this at night for dinner with them, but I also free feed them dry kibble. I like the Chicken Soup for a dog lovers soul. It's holistic. Thanks for takinghim in. He may have died without you. |
God Bless you for taking this little one and saving him. Please keep us posted on his progress. |
Thank goodness you rescued that poor baby boy:( I agree with the others, take him into the vets for a good checkup. You will have him in good health in no time, with love, good food and vet care. |
I am so happy you rescued him, please take him to the vet. Prayers and hugs to you that he will be ok and thrive in his new home. |
vet if possible, if not order some very good vitamins, wholesome food, and possibly omegas for the coat, this all together should help the baby. I would check for parisites first as all this will be in vain if it has worms. I'd like to do the very same thing to the humans that hurt animals! If you tie one up and leave it hungry and for dead, you should be done that way as well. Sorry guys but I can't stand how animals are treated it gets my blood boiling! |
So proud you took this baby in |
Vet run as well cause he is goingto meed to be dewormed. He may not gain weight until you do deworm him. JL |
An open wound like that needs to be seen by a vet. It may need stitching and antibiotic treatment. I would say the dog has worms since it has had fleas and some time and fleas cause tapeworm. Don't wait. The dog must need it's shots anyway. All the vitamins in the world are not going to help a dog with worms. It could possibly have other types of worms and should have it's stool checked under a microscope. |
Awweee. How sad. An angel must have sent you to rescue him. I agree with everyone else... Vet asap. It's amazing how quickly these little guys will recover back to healthy with just a little TLC. :) |
So glad you rescued him! I would also take him to the vet. Then you can start his path to recovery knowing what he needs. |
You are an angel for saving his life!! |
