The ones that it says stock it, I called today. They can order it in for you but do not keep it in stock because there is "no demand" for it.
I guess I could order it in and always stay a bag ahead of ordering in case of non availability when I needed to reorder.

Many stores can't or don't want to carry a wide range of brands and formulas. It is a challenge maintaining a complicated inventory, so some stores prefer to keep it simple and limit customer choices.

Maybe if you pre-order, they will be inspired to start stocking it and the demand will follow.

I tried searching for this food in Salt Lake...no one carries it! Moses is a dabbler, too. He is eating Nutro Ultra as recommended by a manager and buyer at Petco. He liked it at first, but now is sooo picky. I would like to try Fromms. We have some pet boutiques here...I wonder if they can order it in! Do you think there is a difference in flavor between puppy formula and adult formula?

But I suppose shipping would be costly unless you can find a great deal.

I fed Nutro to Max in the beginning and he wasn't that excited about it. Then I read about all of the consumer complaints about the product. I highly recommend switching.

After Nutro, I fed Natural Balance, which I still like. Fromm costs less, so that is a plus.

The Fromm formulas being discussed in this thread are the "Four-Star Nutritionals," which are for all life stages. The puppy and other formulas are part of Fromm's other lines. You can read about the differences on the Fromm website.

One place I called to order said $18.99 and another was $11.99.

$18.99 is nuts. That is likely a store that doesn't deal in high volume and has to pay $$ to the distributor. Or they are charging a special order fee.

I pay $11.99 at Wylie Wagg and a few other places in Northern VA. The highest I have seen it is $13.99 for a 5 pound bag.

Check around online at Luke's All Natural or other places for deals on shipping.

Just ordered the Fromm chicken ala veg for Moses. It's exhausting trying to research and compare reviews on each brand. I am going to try to get a pet store here in Salt Lake City to at least give me the option to order it if Mo likes it!

I hope he does well with it. The kibble size is nice for smaller dogs. My big boys like it and they do very well on it.

Going to our local store right now to get a bag of Fromm chicken ala veg. Hopefully Trixie will like it and actually eat it. She loves TOTW canned food, but it gave her the runs so no more wet from TOTW. Wish me luck!

Good luck! See if you can get samples of some of the other flavors too. My boys like the other flavors a little more than the chicken.

So far boys love the chicken (mixing it in slowly with Chicken Acana).

It was $12.99 a bag and I can order it anytime.

I'm so happy they like it! My boys still love it. It's a lot of fun switching the flavors around. I have a couple of different bags and I let them pick sometimes
