| I switched my little bubba from Innova to Nutro Ultra when he started getting picky...I still have half of a bag left. Guess I will throw it out. It makes me sick that the FDA won't do anything about China poisoning our pets, and now P&G?

| Rather than throwing the unused food out, you might check with a local shelter to see if they would take it. |

| Dangit, I KNEW it. As soon as the rep came in saying "Oh hohohoho, well we are NOT changing the food AT ALL! Noooooo. It'll be just the same!" I knew something was up. =/

| Yep, this is a definite. Others on another forum have also said they've seen it. And it's also listed on their website on the ingredient list. Pet Food Ingredient Definitions for Cat Food, Dog Food & Puppy Food ? Innova Holistic Pet Food

To browse the ingredients, search for a specific ingredient and click go, or search by letter for the ones that interest you.

| I haven't noticed it on the bags as an ingredient either. (I'm in petsmart every other day lol). According to their site, nothing is changing, so I'm hoping this is just an ugly rumor with no basis. I like the food Allie and Noah are on, and they like it too.

| FYI Mendadione Response from Nutura These are the two responses I got from Nutura: #1 July 18, 2011 Thank you for contacting Natura Pet Products. Natura uses vitamin K3 or menadione in the form of menadione sodium bisulfate complex (MSBC) in the EVO 95% Salmon & Herring canned cat food and the EVO Herring & Salmon Dry Cat & Kitten Food. It is used to meet the requirement for vitamin K as established in the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles. According to AAFCO, vitamin K needs to be added if the “…diet contains greater than 25% fish on a dry matter basis.” Although Natura hoped to use vitamin K1 or phylloquinone to meet this requirement since natural sources like green leafy vegetables are not concentrated enough to do so, neither the FDA nor AAFCO currently recognize this natural source of vitamin K. Oral menadione supplementation in the form of MSBC is a safe and effective way to deliver vitamin K activity to cats. Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex is currently the only AAFCO-approved, safe, and effective source of vitamin K activity for cat foods and treats. The FDA (and consequently AAFCO) “grandfathered in” many ingredients as being “GRAS” or “generally recognized as safe” before this natural source of vitamin K was readily available for use in animal feeds. Subsequently, the FDA has not yet reviewed support for this naturally occurring vitamin so it remains “unrecognized” from a regulatory perspective for pet foods. #2 July 19, 2011 We do not use vitamin K3 or menadione in the form of menadione sodium bisulfate complex (MSBC) in any of our dog foods. My Cali eats the Evo Red Meat small bites, and I hate to lose it for her.

| Sigh After having so many food issues with Gizmo, Innova is the only food that agrees with him and that he loves to eat. I looked on the back of the bag and basically googled and searched any of the ingrediants I couldn't identify, and so far it's clear. I really hope they don't change it, for the sake of my sanity with trying to get him to eat.

Very well said Nancy. I agree, I'm starting to rewind my views on some foods. But whatever! Just my opinion!
