| question about thirst my little guy is 11 weeks old and lately seems very thirsty...he is acting very healthy otherwise...is this normal? or is this some other illness cropping up? |

| I hope it's not an illness. Has he been eating anything different that would make him more thirsty? If it continues I would contact the vet. Good Luck!! |

| nothing new to eat he is on dry eukenuba. I guess I am a worrier as he was so sick with possible parvo right after I brought him home |

| Excessive thirst called polydipsia can be indicative of a health problem....a few issues that include polydipsia...are canine diabetes, cushings, kidney problems, liver disease..high blood calcium content, possible abnormalities in the pituitary gland. There are some others....but these are the ones I can recall right now. Any time you notice unusual behavior with your yorkie, it's better to get it checked out... I would definitely get your little guy to the Vet....just to figure out what is going on. Hopefully it's nothing serious!
