I have started using the commands leave it and drop it while we walk twice a day. We walk in the street most of the time and it was easier to issue the commands there because there were not so many things for them to pick up. I would just say leave it and keep walking. Now after we walk I have let them walk in the yard while I still have them on the leash still telling them leave. I only let them in the yard for about 5 minutes the first time and have gradually started increasing the time. This seems to be working! I didn't even offer them any treats. Thanks for the great advice.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with Yorkie's that think they're Hovers. They love grass & sticks. I've gotten my 2 yr. old to leave the bird droppings alone, finally. Yucky & come get her back on track.

I feel your pain. Wallee is 14 months old and he is the same. The whole time out in the back yard he is grazing on grass like he is a calf or something. Two weeks ago we were putting dirt in the garden and he must have eaten some of that when he was burrying his nose in it. He ended up very sick for 2 days resulting in a vet visit and me having to cook for him and give him pedyolyte to restore his fluids.

Thank goodness it's not just Blake!!! He eats leaves, sticks and grass. I thought it was just him. He's like a bad toddler sometimes. My husband said he's gonna think his name is "No!!!", "Bad!!!" or "NASTY!!!" cause I say it so much...
