I agree with you...meds as a last resort. I hate giving my babies 'drugs', so I try to figure out a more natural solution before I put them on drugs, especially if it's going to be for ever. With the acid-reflux, Nicky was supposed to be on Famotidine for the rest of his life . A bottle would last a bit over 2 weeks x $28 (?) per bottle x the rest of his life = ? If an absolute must, then fine, I'd do it, but not just to fatten someone else's wallet on my baby's back

1. Use a raised feeder

2. Mother's Apply Cider Vinegar or plain apple cider vinegar-NEVER AN ACNTACID! not to mention ACV has multiple other benefits but ppl should use it verses an antacid because an antacid tries to block the creation of acid well it works for a bit then your body tries to produce more to compensate it becomes a vicious cycle...if you take an acid your body learns to correct it's PH balance and produce less acid...it takes a bit longer though. I used ACV and no longer take prevacid or prilosec or nexxium..yes i took them all RX and OTC for years until I tried ACV...I really suggest it for those of you with issues also...reflux is trick...a water bottle may also be needed instead of a water bowl...my mini schnauzers are prone to it and we've done a lot of research on this
