| Flexicose!!! It has worked wonders for my Snickers who has Luxatting Patella Surgery in Nov of 2009!!! He gets it every other day and likes to get it b/c he knows he gets cheese right after taking it. I administer it with an eye dropper right into his mouth!!! GREAT PRODUCT!!! Cosequin has peer-reviewed studies behind it too. I use it for all 3 of my kiddos for joint support, but also bc Wylie has asymptomatic LP.

| Same here. Cosequin worked wonders for Alexander's severe arthritis and stiff knees. I also started buying mine from Entirely pets.

| Flexicose FLEXICOSE Liquid Glucosamine -- it WORKS! And one of the things I like best is that the human product and the animal product are EXACTLY the same -- comes from the same vat, barrel or what ever it is they mix it in. They use different labels as a marketing techinique to target different markets. Before I started using it with our elderly Boxer I called the company because I had heard that Flexicose was such a fantastic product, but at that time I didn't know that they had an animal product -- I was trying to get a safe dosage for Boo, and they told me that they did have an animal product, but it was exactly the same as the human product. |

| I've always heard that these supplements are unnecessary for a younger dog who does not have any joint problems? I remember posting once and being told it was probably a waste of money if he didn't need it. Jackson is super active so I was wondering if giving him Cosequin would keep his joints healthy, but most said it was an unnecessary supplement if he has no current problems.

| Cosequin. There are so many brands and all pups will react differently, but Cosequin uses a source of glucosamine that is easily used by dogs. There are also studies backing it. Some other companies may be catching up by now, but a couple years ago they were definitely the leader. It won't hurt a healthy dog. It is good for them. But I personally wouldn't be spending the money on a healthy dog. I usually don't supplement unless there is a need. Ellie has LP. She was asymptomatic with and without it (but her knee does crunch when jumping either way).
