| My Guys Lost Complete Interest In Acana I think ACANA is a very high quality food and my guys were thriving on it. They have been on it for about two years without any problems. I was surprised when, out-of-the-blue, ALL four of my guys refused to eat it. I knew that it was a fairly new bag, but wanted to make sure that it wasn't a freshness issue so I picked up a couple of sample size bags....they wouldn't touch it. I can understand them getting bored with it, but it did surprise me that all of them decided that they didn't like it. I really trust ACANA, but had to start my search for a new food. I brought home a few samples for them and finally found one that all will eat (Fromm Beef Frittata). It's a great feeling when all agree on ONE food....they love it, even our little rescue guy (and he seems to be the pickiest of all). Have any of yours had this reaction to ACANA lately? | Maybe email the company to see if they changed their formula? It is a bit odd that all 4 would refuse to eat it at the same time...

| That's what I thought. I could understand if one became bored and stopped eating it, but all 4 did seem odd. They do like the Fromm so I think I'll stick with it for now. |

| Mine have been on Acana for a year or more and still love it (I hope they always do ). Were you rotating between flavors? I changed between Grasslands and Pacifica each month.

| No because it's tough to get my crew to agree on one flavor. I was pleased with Acana, but since they all seem to like the Beef Frittata, I will stick with this. I will drop the company (Acana) an email just to see what they say, though. |

| Either that, or maybe it is a bad batch.... I get very suspicious when all mine refuse something, like it either went bad, or one or more ingredients went bad at the factory... I'd be checking for recalls too...

| I completely understand. That's partly why I like Acana so much - all of mine really seem to like it so far. I haven't tried the Fromm grain free foods. Is the kibble small and triangular like their foods with grain? That's such a good size kibble for the little ones.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | How strange, Tammy! Argh. Hmmmm...what about trying sprinkling Parmesan on their food, to at least get them interested enough to get them thru this bag? Have they ever tired of a food suddenly before? Hope there isn't a tummy virus brewing...

| You know what, Jackson has not been as interested in Acana either... but I thought it was just because we had done Orijen the bag before and he liked that better. He will eat the Acana still if it's mixed with wet food but he leaves a bunch of kibbles left in the bowl... whereas the Orijen is always all gone!

| I think it's a good idea to drop them a line and let us know what they say! Both mine eat Acana, it's been a god-send for Bandit and his horrible stomach. I know they're coming out with a new flavor- Ranchlands. Maybe a trial bag of that to see if they eat? |

I had noticed when I opened this new bag of food that the kibbles looked a little bit lighter in color than usual...apparently, she noticed that, too...lol However, after adding some enticing boiled chicken to the dry kibble and then eventually weaning her of those extra treats...she's back to her old self and seems content. Will be crossing my fingers for the next new bag of food for no new surprises!
