Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | is dog scratching its ears always bad? sometimes my puppies will scratch their ears for like 2 seconds. Does scratching of the ear automatically mean something is wrong or bad? Should healthy dogs not scratch their ears at all?

| You might want to look at their ears, red or brown excretions could be ear mites, smell their ears... a bad smell could be a yeast infection... anything suspicious should be checked by your vet and treated....

Another cause of scratching can be diet. Yorkies need a premium diet. They are little and only eat a little so I figure we can afford to give them the best One more thing to make sure of is rinsing all shampoo from their hair. Rinse, rinse, and rinse some more. Jut a little shampoo left in their hair can cause itching and flaking.
