| Anyone feed Castor & Pollux Organix? I read the reviews on dogfoodanalysis.com They gave it a 4 rating, but mentioned that it was bordering on a 3 because of the low meat content. My dogs love this food. They lick their bowl clean. Just wanted to get the rest of your thoughts.

| Castor & Pollux is an excellent food IMO. Lady gets primarily a home cooked diet, but I keep Castor & Pollux on hand because she loves kibble. I actually give it to her as a treat! |

| Good to know! Thank you so much. Do you mind telling me what sort of home cooked foods you're feeding Lady? I've been thinking about doing a home cooked diet for my two, but I'm afraid I won't be giving them enough nutrients.

Lady is 15 with health issues so her diet wouldn't work for you. I'd recommend consulting a canine nutritionist to make sure you get a recipe that contains all the necessary supplements. There are recipes on Rebecca Remillard's website for only $25. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...itionists.html | |

| LadyJane feeds Castor and Pollux to many of her dogs as well as to the foster dogs she takes care of through the Yorkie Haven Rescue. LadyJane (linda) says so many good things about this food - you might want to talk to her about it. ETA: I also recommend Rebecca Remillard, a very excellent board certified veterinary nutritionist if you would like to try a home cooked diet. Teddy eats the $25 diet from her website, Chicken and Brown Rice and he loves it. My dogs all eat home cooked food and despite poor breeding, have beaten the odds and look great now that they are older! Little Teddy does great too.

As for Rebecca Remillard, I'll def look into her home recipes. The thought of actually cooking for my babies brings a smile to my face. I love watching them enjoy eating their food. I also love spoiling them!
