| Gassy dog Smokey has gas like you wouldn't believe. His stools are fine, he's going regularly, and he's not bloated or anything, but tonight he has been letting out a plethora of "silent but deadly" smells. Of course since he's so attached to me, he's laying beside me on the couch for the last couple hours and I can hardly breathe sitting next to him, it's so awful. Is there anything I can do to settle his stomach or help him out? I know his tummy has got to hurt... poor guy.

| Poor Smokey and poor you! Have you changed his diet recently? Sometimes dogs will have more gas eating one brand of food versus another. I feel for you. Teddy passes some real stinkers when he is nervous. |

| Nope his food has been the same. He must have been the one who had gas the other night too. I thought it was Chippy and at first tonight I thought it was Chip too. But Chip went to bed with hubby and Smokey was all curled up all cute next to me letting out his deadly winds. I think this is the first time ever I'd rather have him lay across the room from me. How can something so cute smell so bad?! I just hope his tummy isn't too upset... Smokey pretty much has a stomach of steel. He gets diarrhea when he gets nervous but it is rare for him to get gas.

I don't have any advice, but I hope Smokey's problem clears up soon. Passing the gas is a good thing, so I don't think you need to worry too much that he is suffering, especially if he has normal stools. It's when they can't pass the gas that it is a serious problem. | |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Sometimes Tess can clear a room when she passes wind and its usually on homecooking eves,Either lamptips and rice, poached chicken breast and rice or chopped sirloin and rice. She never seems to be in any pain.?????? |

| I was having the same problem with my dog! I started adding a probiotic to Mocha's food twice daily and now he hardly has gas anymore! Its been great! Might be worth a try. |

| We have been going thru this the past 2 days with Kayla. They have been on Blue Buffalo (canned) and Royal Cannine (kibble) for a long time. No one else is having the problem. She even threw up yesterday. Was not eating but drinking. She finally eat today but you can tell she doesn't feel good. Hope your baby gets better. Its scary when they get sick. We tried giving her some plain yogart which she would not eat. If anyone knows of something to give them, please, I would appreciate knowing because I know Kayla's tummy hurt. She still is not herself. |
