| Is this normal? Harlow only eats about one time a day? Is this ok? She doesn't seem tired or anything so I know she's not getting hypoglycemic. I just wonder If she's getting enough nutrition? I offer her food several times a day and she usually only takes it once.

| Hello, How old is Harlow? Do you free feed? I believe Harlow will eat when she is hungry but keep an eye out on this. |

| She's about twelve weeks old and I don't free feed. I give her food three times or so a day. But I do believe she'll eat when she gets hungry so hopefully everything is ok.

| How big is she? Jackson really has always only eaten one time per day, sometimes two. It all depends. He gets raw food 3x a week for breakfast so that's when he eats twice a day. But he's a bigger Yorkie, he was 6lbs already at 12 weeks old and is now 15lbs, so it was never really an issue. He's just never been interested in eating in the mornings. However, in general, for a young pup, I'd definitely recommend atleast 2x per day.

| My guess is that if she doesn't act like she is starving or hungry and has good bowel movements then she would be okay. We feed ours twice a day between 7-8 and 7-8 and sometimes they hardly touch their dinner. Ours range in size from 6-9 pnds. We found that dry kibble works great and if they seem finicky (which every once in a while someone seems to get a burr up their behind and just refuse the food, we add water and chicken broth to it and let is soak for about 10-20 minutes). Then presto! It's amazing new food (at least you would think it was!) |

| one of my Yorkies is 3 pound and 1 and a half hear old. I always had problems feeding her and she never ate more than one time per day. I feed both my Yorkies three times a day but my little one only eat at the afternoon. She is healthy and very active. When I asked my vet about that, he told me that as long as she is active and healthy she can eat once a day Maria |

I'll have to try that because Brandi gets finicky sometimes and doesn't want to eat. I guess every now and then, she needs something different. | |

| Three times a day feeding is very necessary for one that age. You just need to find the right food that she will LOVE. I home cook, and have never for one second had any problem with one not eating. They look forward to their meals each and every day.

| A healthy adult Yorkie could likely do just fine with once a day feedings (only if this is their preference). A twelve week old needs to eat more often. It could put a pup in danger to eat only once. I'd be very concerned about her ability to regulate blood sugar even if she seems fine now.
