| D.A.P. And music Thought I would repost this here D.A.P. and Through A dog's Ears Just wanted to share our new holistic vet visit yesterday, (Home) with Dr. Sivula for our Shelby. She is a AAI surgery survivor and has numerous congenital defects. She has developed some new complications with a herniated disc directly below the AAI repair site. So we were directed to a new holistic vet, who I found to be wonderful. His exam room had a D.A.P. diffuser plugged in which is a dog appeasing pheromone and music playing by "Through a dog's ears". I would not have believed it, if I did not witness and experience it myself, the calming effect it had on Shelby. After her first acupuncture session, she was so relaxed, she fell asleep laying next to Daddy on the floor while we finished chatting with Dr. Sivula. Looking forwad to more sessions and hoping the healing herbs he has ordered and prescribed for her will help. As I said just wanted to share our experience with the D.A.P. and the music for those who might find it soothing for their furbabies. The music I downloaded directly from thehttp://www.throughadogsear.com/downloads.htm?&downloads=Buy%20Download site. There are several down loads available, also from Ebay and Amazon.com, he had none in the office to purchase, sold out as soon as they arrive. For the D.A.P. he did say Pet's mart did carry it, but I went ahead and bought them from him. #1 covers a 700 sq foot area.

| I'm so happy to hear that the session was soothing and relaxing for little Shelby. The new doctor sounds wonderful. This sounds amazing, Anne. I've never heard of DAP - what was the scent like to you? Was it pleasant, or could you even smell it? It just plugs in kind of like a night light? Do you leave it on all the time? I'm going to try downloading that music this weekend for Alexander. Thanks for sharing!

| We have an anxious pup too that has some separation anxiety. When I go to work I play Through a Dog's Ear ("Music to Calm Your Canine Companion") rather than the TV. I think that does help I think. (someone posted a review that it works well on grandkids too -- haha). I definitely recommend those CD's! We transferred our CD to an Ipod and let it loop all day. We also tried DAP, but I have the spray not the diffuser. Maybe the diffuser works better than the spray. I tried spraying his bed, but I didn't notice that it helped. Maybe it needs to be diffused in the air to be more effective. I hope you'll post your experience when you get yours at home! I am tempted to try that. Entirelypets.com has the best prices on both the diffuser and the spray that I've found. Its half the price on Entirelypets.com compare to other places. We saw it at PetSmart for $49.95 DAP Dog Appeasing Pheromone Electric Diffuser (48 mL) |

Waiting for it to kick in with the boys lol, honestly they seem more relaxed but will bark as Yorkies do when the house is invaded lol I down loaded all four cd's, road trips etc. Total of 4+hours so it's looping pretty well when we are away. The test will come when we are away at work!
