You do not want to make any majoy changes to what they are used to eating - that will upset their tummy. What worked for me was to take their puppy kibble, put it in a little bowl, add a little bit of water, squirt a bit of honey - and put it in the microwave until it became moist. I know - it stinks - but I think that the smell gets them to at least go and try it out. You can add to that a little bit of baby food - preferably chicken.

And remember - changes to their diet should be done gradually.

I know I shouldn't have let her have the arby's. I was just desperate to see her eating something. She's doing so much better. I'm soaking down her kibble and mixing it with baby food and a little karo syrup. I got her some caesers and she's eaten a little bit of that this morning. I plan to continbue to offer her something every 2 hours just to attempt to see her tummy remain full.

I think it was just depression from being moved. She's getting better every day and I can't get out of her sight. I've been in constant contact with her breeder and plan to maintain that relationship. Her breeder is an awesome lady and was VERY selective about who she let this little girl go to. I'm honored that she trusts me enough to care for her for the rest of her life. Now I gotta figure out what to name her!

I've never ever seen a dog turn down Tripett. It's a soft dog food found at many of the smaller, more "local" pet stores. It was recommended to me because I have a female who would eat nothing and we just needed to find her appetite. Well, it worked. She is now slightly obese. Talk about a turn in our problems...

hope she's better. maybe feed her a bland diet for a week; boiled chicken and rice or turkey and oatmeal. also to entice her appetite you can add some solid gold canned green tripe to her food; which food are u feeding. wet food is easier to digest and more palatable for puppies. good luck.

Lucy was (is) a picky eater as well. She always liked me to make a game out of her kibble. I would throw one piece on the floor at a time and she would run and chase it; then eat it.

I kept her on the same food the Breeder had her on; even though I wasn't really crazy about it.

She loves the Wellness 99% meat - usually I give chicken but there is also beef, lamb, fish, etc. It's made to mix in with their kibble.

She also loves cooked green beans or cooked carrots (and a little juice) mixed in with her kibble.

Also, cooked chicken breast with no seasonings makes a good broth than you can use to moisten the kibble and give a little bit of white meat chicken, if your pup can tolerate it.

Good Luck! Lucy is a better eater now; hopefully, yours will be too.

The baby food is what worked for us! I just got only the meat based ones. Chicken, Turkey, Beef.
