| Thanks for the reply ![]() We got the fecal test back, and she has giardia She's doing much better though, her stools have formed and we got her to eat merrick wet food! We're very happy about this. Hopefully she will not end up with pancreaitis but I wouldn't be surprised if later on she ends up with that.So here is my dilemna, the pet store I got her at offers 6 weeks free obedience classes, plus a free grooming. The classes would start next month, I am very hesitant about taking her back there for both free offers because of everything that has happened. What are your thoughts on this? |

i wouldn't take her to the classes; giardia is very contagious and if you dont' treat it properly she can reinfect herself, other dogs and possibly humans. she needs to get 100 percent well first; giardia free.

| If there is blood in the stool your puppy needs to see a vet. I have been through it with Rosie and the sooner you get to the vet the better in my opinion. Make sure he is drinking to keep him hydrated. As the others stated in the previous post, it could be many things causing the problem.

| My little Yorkie ate some cooked green beans and loved them. She and my Havanese both ate them and both got diarrhea. I would not feed your dog any more green beans. Dry dog food is by far the best for your puppy. There is no guess work in whether or not you have the right amount of vitamins and nutrients. I buy Solid Gold and they have little bites which works well for a small Yorkie. It is better for their teeth too. |
