Yup I think so too!! Izzy is the same way... This morning i gave her one that I made last night... She killed it!! she wanted more so I caved and let her have one .. She's my baby...she has me wrapped

Mine said Made in china ....product for Idaho so to be on the safe II'm just making my own... It was so easy and ALOT cheeper... And I'm able to use hormone free chicken . She LOVED THEM!!

I barely cook for myself so I just ended up buying Konas Chips, lol. I'm sure Jackson will love them. Are you supposed to put them in the freezer???

I know alot of dogs were reported getting sick from the chicken products because they were made in China. Alot of them say "Product OF China" which I wouldn't trust for sure.

I buy Dogswell brand chicken jerkie called Breathies. Made in China but sold at Whole Foods so I feel ok with buying them since Whole Foods is generally picky on sourcing and fair trade etc. Never had anyone get sick from them and they sure do love them.

That's good to know your pups haven't gotten sick from Dogswell. I've given Jackson those in the past.

Well, we ordered some Kona's Chips so hopefully he likes them! I'm sure he will. He's never been picky about chicken jerky!

Anyways, I stopped buying Waggin' Train brand after knowing it was made in China, as are most dog chicken jerky strips. I'm just not comfortable with that.

I've only found one brand, Dog Jerky, Jerky Dog Treats, Chicken Jerky Dog Treats, made in the USA - Home | Kona's Chips, that seem of high quality. They're a bit pricey though when shipping is added in. $17.89 for a 12oz bag plus $8 shipping. I like to buy in bigger quantities like 12oz, etc.

Any other cheaper places to get 100% USA made chicken jerky?

My 2 loves it I get a 3lb bag ofr real nice juicy ones from Costco for abot $14.

All the ones I have ever seen at Costco are made in China. I have heard (from reps at a Pex Expo) that Dogswell follows the same standards they would have to in the US even though they are from China, but I still am not comfortable giving them to my girls. It's a shame too since so many of their products look to be healthy.

Thank u for posting this thread. I got chicken treats from petsmart a month ago .. my babies love them but my Lilly got sick from them! I did not see on the fine print made in chim=na until after she was sick. She was sick on her tummy but kept a bad cough for 2 weeks after. the vet said she was allergeic to the treats! I trashed them! She is better now but had to be on meds for a while. I will give them a try. She eats chicken breast all the time so I know she ok with chicken. Vet said it was something in the product it's self. I will make sure to order from this link... I had rather pay more for them then end up at the vets again. Thanks again for the post..

Awesome! I think Kona's Chips will be worth the money. I got the 12oz bag. Do they have to be kept in the fridge, or is this just something you do?

I know the ones that I made I'm keeping in the fridge...So I think if your getting a 12oz bag I would keep them in the fridge too just to be on the safe side

I make my own also....use a food dehydrator. I get skinnless/boneless chicken breasts and freeze them till they are just firm enough to be able to cut thinly.....I normally do mine at night so that by morning they are ready to go....my little one loves them, but I love them also....so now need to make extra batches...one for me and one for lil one..

I got the Kona chips and although pricy the dogs just love them. I got two bags of the 12 oz size and keep them in the refrigerator I know with 4 dogs they won't last long. I am going to try making my own.

They trick you too, because Waggin' Train for example says something like "USA made chicken" on the front of the bag, but look on the back and in tiny letters it's "Made in China!" I had found another brand at Petco that said USA chicken so I started buying it... only to find tiny tiny print on the very bottom of the bag "Made in China" All the Dogswell ones are too.

I thought packaging information is regulated? Why are they allowed to one thing in the front and tiny print in the back?!!! I wonder if we can report these companies.
