I make my own also....use a food dehydrator. I get skinnless/boneless chicken breasts and freeze them till they are just firm enough to be able to cut thinly.....I normally do mine at night so that by morning they are ready to go....my little one loves them, but I love them also....so now need to make extra batches...one for me and one for lil one..
