| double teeth Hello! My 7 month old yorkie has not dropped her baby teeth and her adult teeth have grown in. My Vet says she should have the extra teeth removed. I hate to put her through that. They don't seem to bother her. She's already spayed so I can't combine the two surgeries. What problems coould she have if they are not removed? I hate the idea of anesthetic for a 5 lb dog. I am a worried mom. What would you do? Also, when will she get the long pretty adult hair? |

| I have a male yorkie that has double fangs, sometimes they will fall out giving them chew toys. My vet said no need to have them pulled unless they give them problems. My yorkie is 4lbs, I am also to scared to have him put under, I think we will keep the teeth for now. Hair should start growing in good at about a year. |

| My baby had that prouble too! It made her have the worst I mean worst bad breath EVER! I had the double teeth removed when they spayed her. She is 4 pounds as well. I was soooo nervous too. I knew I just had to trust the vet and just get it done! It was very hard tho! She did great and I'm glad I did it!

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Retained baby teeth prevent the adult teeth from coming in to their proper position. They also make hygiene more difficult and increase the risk of gum disease in an already prone breed.

| Thank you everyone She does have bad breath after eating her food but it disappears rather quickly. Her bite seems fine for now. I think I will try good teeth brushing for now ( she likes it) and watch her for any problems. |
