| Only 'going' once a day? Sorry for the weird question. Hammer has always been on the same schedule since we got him in Feb. (he is 9 months now). He used to make a #2 in the morning then once again late afternoon. Well this past week we have moved to a new place... and since then he has been only going once per day. Is that normal? Its runny too (sorry for the image). His food has not changed.. just the location. Is it stress of being in a new place? or he my little one just growing up? |

| The runniness is probably just the stress. I know when we travel, Jackson's tends to be runnier too. Some dogs do tend to only go once a day. I think it all depends on diet, exercise, etc. Jackson typically goes 2x a day, sometimes 3, and he'll be 2 in October. The less poop the better! ha. So consider yourself lucky.

| #2 change with move Rocoo when we first got him would throw up everytime in the car, no matter the travel time then once reached destination had runny stool. It has gradually improved( we take him everywhere). We did take him to the vet after he had a runny mucousy with tiny blood in it stool one morning after it had stormed throughout the night.( about 1-2 weeks after we had him) The vet said our lovely breed choice are very nervous dogs and react in this way with the exception of the latter stool it is normal with any stressor or change. It turns out that since mine has had the latter stool they said he has stress colitis so I sympathize with your concern however Your precious Hammer sounds to be responding normal to change and will adjust. good luck! |

| Max's stool was fine the day we brought him back from the boarder (after our vacation). Then he got runny stools. We also had some bad storms in MD this week. He freaks out at storms. Nothing else has changed (same food). I am thinking it is stress. Otherwise he is acting normally. Was just in for a worm check and bordetella shot week before boarding. All was fine. Mickey is fine and they shared the same run at the boarding place. Mickey is the laid back boy of the 2.
