| Pet Insurance for my Yorkie Hi- I am new to this so bare with me. I have been looking for pet insurance for my Austin. He's so cute. Anyhow, can anyone tell me if Embrace Pet Insurance is the best out there? Thank you. |

| Here's a thread you might want to read, from the YT library. It discusses what I think are two of the best insurances available, Embrace and Petplan. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...rifaj-dvm.html

| Do most people get pet insurance and would you more experienced pet owners recommend it? Oliver is my first pup and I want to do everything right by him but wasn't sure if I should get insurance or not. What would you all suggest?? Thanks!

| SoSo, I think I kinda depends on how old your yorkie is, or how much care they've had if their a rescue. I have Pets Best Insurance for my Sprocket and because he needed many things, shots, neutering, teeth, basic wellness, (I'm a worry wort), I've used this policy many times and the customer service is very good, you can fax in your stuff or mail it, you always get a very helpful person on the phone, and they PAY OUT, also an important factor. Vets are so expensive, and though I haven't started to do travels with my baby yet we plan to start this summer and those visits while traveling, if needed would be covered too. But like I said, I'm a worry wort and new to dog, esp. yorkies, and the yearly premium wasn't that bad considering what I had done and what it would have cost. Oh it was recommended by my vet too. Good luck

| If someone only has one or two pups and can set aside a certain amount each month just for their medical care, I think that's just as good or better than having insurance. Because I have several yorkies, I worried what I would do if more than one got sick/injured at the same time. Having insurance on them lets me pay a little each month yet gives me the security of knowing I'll be able to get them the care they need when they need it.
